Universal Credit estimator

An indicative monthly UC estimate using 2025-26 rates. Covers the standard allowance, child element (with the two-child limit), LCWRA, carer element, housing element, work allowance, 55% taper, and the capital rules. It does not apply the benefit cap, third-party deductions, or the Minimum Income Floor — use an official calculator before any decision.

ChildrenChildren you are responsible for and live with.
Health and caringThese toggle elements that materially change your award.
IncomeMonthly amounts, after tax and National Insurance. Ignore the Universal Credit payment itself — it's what we're calculating.

  • Transitional protection for households migrating from legacy benefits.
  • The Minimum Income Floor for self-employed claimants past the 12-month start-up period.
  • Childcare element (up to 85% of actual costs).
  • Non-dependant deductions from the housing element.
  • Advance repayments, third-party deductions, sanctions.
